Community outreach to those experiencing homelessness

Christian Life Church Kyogle, along with many other local agencies from Kyogle such as Kyogle Family Support Services, Kyogle Together, Social Futures, and Men and Family Centre went down together to the Showgrounds to reach members of our community who may not have reached out for help yet. We sent workers to door-knock around the Showgrounds and Caravan Park to engage personally with those in need.
We brought Pumpkin Soup as well as wonderful donations from Good360. This included dishwashing detergent, Dettol soap, toiletries, jumpers, slippers, shirts, and polo shirts. Even the breastfeeding jumpers from Best and Less were very useful since the zipper for breastfeeding was well concealed and they could be worn by men or women. Many were blessed by the kindness and generosity they received. As a community network, we plan to visit again in December when we can bring extra joy at Christmas. None of this would be possible without donations from Good360, the Kyogle Lions Foodpantry, the Kyogle CWA evening branch, and many other donors.
