Inala Community House were lucky enough to be able to access 120 cosmetic cases generously provided by Big W and Good360.
We're so proud to be a part of such a diverse community but the opportunity to take home one of these cosmetic cases was something that put a smile on the face of every single person that we've shown them to, regardless of their age, ethnicity or ability. Their reactions have been priceless.
Since we started giving them out, we've heard so many great stories of how these cases are being used:
- One parent has found doing their make up together a great way to engage with her teenage daughter who has an intellectual disability.
- A young single mum of six has found her cosmetic case to be a great addition to help strengthen her self care routine.
- Another young lady with an intellectual impairment has been so excited as she's been using her kit to experiment with different looks, testing what she likes and doesn't like.
These are just a few examples of the impact that these cosmetic cases have had on the members of our community. We're extremely lucky to have been able to play a part in delivering these cases to those who will benefit most but none of it would have been possible without the generosity of Big W and the hard work and dedication of the team at Good360. A big thank you to both organisations from everyone here at Inala Community House.
