International students with children benefit from Good360

International students contribute billions of dollars to our economy ($39 Billion in 2019), and they work in some of the lowest-paid jobs in this country to support themselves while they study, which means they pay taxes, but they're locked out of access to our health, welfare and community support services.
The majority of international students come from developing countries and they take out loans back home, to support their hopes and aspirations of a better future through education.
A significant number of these students come here with families, including infants & very young children, and they find themselves totally unprepared for the extremes in our climate and the exorbitant cost of living expenses, including the cost of renting and they struggle to find somewhere suitable and affordable to rent.
Sydney Community Forum supports international students by linking them up to community organizations that can support them, and by giving them access to warm clothes and other critical items to help them settle into their temporary homes.
We thank Good360 for the donated clothing, shoes, and other household items to support our work with the most vulnerable international students in July 2022 These were a lifesaver for the students, especially those with families. The students came to us with nothing, totally unprepared for the cold winter, and with very little spare funds, and they cried when we told them the warm clothes & other items were free for them to take.
