Essentials for those in need

Orygen Assist is our volunteer-run program that provides access to essential items for young people experiencing mental illness and their families including non-perishable food, clothing, and hygiene products.

Our volunteers operate a drop-in shop at our Parkville site on Mondays, Wednesdays (1pm-4pm) and Fridays (10am-1pm), as well as an online ordering and deliveries service across the Orygen sites for clinicians and staff on behalf of their young people and families.

Orygen Assist relies on donations of items to support families. Due to the increased demand for items, we have not been able to source sufficient clothing supplies to meet the demand and therefore have not been able to fulfill young people's requests. We usually support 20 young people and their families each week.

The Good360 donation of 120 pairs of socks will mean we can provide young people and their families with these essential items.
