Lego for children in care

The Foster Care Association of Victoria (FCAV) is the peak body for foster carers in Victoria, with over 4,000 members.
Foster carers are volunteers providing a home, family life, and care to children and young people who are unable to live with their birth family.
Many of these children have suffered traumatic events and the role of our foster carers is critical for providing a safe and healing environment for children and young people to reach their full potential.
The Foster Carer Allowance barely covers the cost of living, there is no spare money for family outings, nice clothes, or additional treats for children in care.
We provide information, support, advocacy, and therapeutic counseling to all Victorian foster families.
Along with this, we seek support from donors and businesses to help us provide heart-warming gifts of appreciation for the remarkable foster carers and children and young people in care.
I was able to obtain a carton of Harry Potter LEGO sets via Good360. These were distributed via our Newsletter prize giveaways to our members.
There was such an overwhelming response from foster carers requesting LEGO for the children in their care that I went back and ordered another shipment of LEGO from Good360.
In total, we were able to distribute 8 Harry Potter LEGO Sets and 7 Star Wars LEGO Sets to children and young people in foster care. I hope we can distribute more in the future.
We are very thankful for the service Good360 and its donors provide
