LEGO and Building Trust

Jupiter is a non-profit organization that provides free counselling and well-being support to young people aged 12 to 25 in Port Stephens. The organization was started in 2019 by the charity COPSY, in response to the lack of mental health support in the area. Jupiter has grown rapidly over the past five years, and we add new names to our waiting list every week. Our goal is to offer up to 2000 counselling sessions per year in a person-centred, inclusive, and culturally diverse environment. We aim to provide a safe "place to talk" that helps young people develop strong mental resilience. This, in turn, empowers them to actively participate in the community, fosters a sense of positivity and belonging, supports their journey toward independence, and helps them become a well-adjusted and resilient generation.
Going to counselling can be very challenging for many young people. To make them feel at ease, we try to take the attention off them by doing something else while we talk. The LEGO sets donated by Good360 have been a blessing for us. LEGO transcends age, race, and gender, and it gives both the counsellor and the young person something to do while they talk. We received enough LEGO sets to distribute to all three of our counselling centres, and we look forward to many happy " LEGO Talks". Thank you for kind support.
