Banyule Support and Information Centre Inc. (BANSIC) is a not-for-profit incorporated association, established to provide services to assist those experiencing difficulties within the southern area of the City of Banyule on the Northern East fringes of Melbourne.
Good360 has enabled us to help families survive the school holidays and prepare for the new school year. With the cost of living crisis, many families are struggling financially, particularly through the Christmas and School holiday break. Many of our clients feel the burden of covering food costs especially as holiday boredom often leads to raiding the fridge. And then there is the added stress of covering back-to-school costs. Good360 has
enabled BANSIC to supply families with school sun smart hats and backpacks filled with useful school items to ease school-associated costs. Furthermore, LEGO, ordered through Good360 has helped BANSIC assist families with limited resources, and provide entertainment for children during the holidays to keep children busy.
One client, Sally (not her real name) a single mother with 5 school-age children, told us that the donations made a huge difference to her family. Stretching the budget to cover new items for school was incredibly stressful. It made a lot of difference having access to replacement sunhats, new pencil cases and bags (so her children didn’t have to make do with last year’s items).
